Aca-Believe It: Montrose Hosts Annual A Capella Jam

Last Friday marked the third annual Montrose A Capella Jam and it was absolutely pitch perfect! Montrose School hosted the jam for the second year in a row and featured Newton South, Xaverian, Ursuline, Lexington, Roxbury Latin, Cardinal Spellman as well as Montrose’s very own Treblemakers. The song list included a variety of styles including Country, Pop, Disney, and even some throwbacks.

There was a fantastic turn out, completely filling the Arts & Athletic Center with students from all seven schools. Montrose collected all of the generous proceeds from the jam and donated them to the Elizabeth Mary Clare Schickel Scholarship Fund.

Julia Gibson ‘16 said: “I had such a great time at the A Capella jam. There were so many fun songs to listen to and everyone was so friendly. I especially loved that everyone came out and participated in an event that was sponsoring such an amazing cause.”

The night ended with snacks and drinks for all and with so much positive feedback, there is sure to be a fourth annual jam come next year.
