Come Ye, All Ye, to Brigadoon at Xaverian Brother’s High School and See Montrosians Perform

Ever wondered what it’s like to visit a small Scottish village in the highlands? How about a village that only appears once every hundred years through a miracle? Well, if you have, you’re in luck, because the Xaverian Drama Society will perform Brigadoon, a Lerner and Loewe classic November 17-19 at 7 pm. The show features three Montrosians: Myself, Nora Cahill ‘19, and Vicki Driscoll ‘19, as well as amazing talent from the Xaverian boys themselves.

The show centers around two leads: Tommy Albright, an American from New York City, and Fiona MacLaren, a Brigadoon native. Tommy and his friend Jeff just arrived in Scotland when they hear singing coming from a tiny village ahead of them. Both Tommy and Jeff follow the music into the town of Brigadoon, where they meet all kinds of Scottsman. The story follows multiple story lines mixed with historic and modern day humor.

The show also features many well known standards including “Almost Like Being in Love,” a song made very popular by Frank Sinatra. Come support your fellow Montrosians and Xaverian Hawks, you’re in for a treat.
