On December 8th the Church celebrates the Immaculate Conception. Often times the Immaculate Conception is confused with the Incarnation. The Immaculate Conception is the feast day of Mary being conceived without original sin. Mary is the only human in the history of the world who was conceived without original sin. Therefore, she is perfect. The Immaculate Conception celebrates that. On the other hand, the Incarnation is the feast day of God taking human flesh on Earth.

Many people pray Novenas leading up to the Immaculate Conception asking for special intentions. A novena is when you prayer the same prayer or devotion for nine days leading up to a feast day. Montrose has been praying the novena for all people that they strengthen their love and faith in Mary.
