Where can you listen to A Capella, win free kickboxing classes, decorate a cupcake, and pet an alpaca? If you guessed Medfield Day, you’re correct! Montrose Admissions Ambassadors donned “official Montrosian” t-shirts and went out into Medfield center, spreading the word about our funny little school. Montrose also shared our campus with over 150 booths which gave Medfield residents and Montrose students plenty to do.
Favorite stands included the free drink samples at the Starbucks booth and free pumpkins at the Roche Brothers’ booth. At the karate booth, people got the opportunity to break a board. Girls also helped out at the Montrose booth, handing out fliers, talking to curious families, and offering face painting, which was the main attraction.
Catherine Melley ’16 remarked “it was great to see the reactions of the kids when they saw their faces painted.” Thanks to our talented artists, the kids were all pleased with what they saw. Catherine admitted there was one time when two parents seemed concerned to see their little girl’s face completely transformed into a cheetah, but in the end everyone walked away happy.
At 12:30, A Capella took the stage to perform four songs: Signed, Sealed Delivered, Viva La Vida, For the Longest Time, and One Day. They sang through the ringing church bells and left everyone wishing they were Treblemakers.
All in all, it was an exciting day out for Montrosians, and everyone’s looking forward to next year.
