International excitement about Christmas at Montrose

Christmas is the best time of the year, especially at Montrose. Our exchange students, most of whom have never before celebrated Christmas at Montrose or in the United States, are excited to experience our Christmas traditions.

Linda Chen ‘19 said, “Christmas in China is very different from Christmas in America. In China it isn’t as family-orientated; we send cards and get presents, but it is nothing like it it is in America. I am looking forward to all the decorations around the school and in the streets, as well as not having any school.” Majo Domínguez ‘19, who hails from Mexico, said, “I am by far most excited to see all of the ugly sweaters.”

Most of the other exchange students said that they are looking forward to Decorating Day and to the vacation from school. Just hearing about all of Montrose’s traditions piqued the students’ interest and enthused them about the coming weeks!
