This week, the Cross-Country ran well against Gann Academy. Katrin O’Grady finished 12th overall in a field of 115 male and female runners and 2nd among the female racers.  Katrin’s time was 20:57, which was only 1:35 seconds behind the female winner. Dorothy Crevier, Sarah Baker and newcomer Sydney Weiss finished in the top half of the male and female runners!

Golf

Led by PGA Pro Golfers, Lettie Trespass and Kelli Kostick, Montrose’s first-ever golf team includes 14 students who practice at Sassamon Trace Country Club in Natick. The Montrose Golf team will participate in PGA-sponsored junior tournaments and clinics.

Soccer

The Varsity Soccer team stepped up from level D to C in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) league. The small but mighty team that includes four seniors, led by Captains and Student Government executives Olivia Aha and Megan St. Martin, synched their opener against Dana Hall and lost by a small margin to their second opponent, Brewster Academy. The Varsity team also includes a 7th and 8th grader. The energetic new JV Soccer coach and Montrose alum, Miss Abby Milton, has the team to a 1-1 record.
