Montrose Volleyball Team Plays Landmark

Montrose Volleyball Team Plays Landmark

The Montrose Volleyball team played their second game of the season on Wednesday, September 14th. Playing at Landmark, the girls lost three out of the five sets in their game. The Montrose girls kept the first set close, only losing by 2 points. In their second set, the score was 25-16. Following the second set, the Landmark girls won 25-19. Coach Blackburn gave the girls some uplifting advice before the game by advising the girls to “play for each other and present together as a unified force.”

Although the Mavericks lost, the girls played for their teammates and were a unified force. Caroline Churney ‘19 played as an incredible libero (a defensive specialist), while Sophie Kocho ‘20, Julia Mackenzie ‘19, and Addie Harrison ‘19 were very powerful at the net. Keep up the hard work, Mavericks!
