The Beauty of Fall

Enchanting amber leaves drop from the trees

The hot Summer air turns to a Fall breeze

Sweaters emerge, worn by the fireside 

Picking pumpkins, enjoying the hayride

The farm with its rustic red barn and where 

the smell of cider doughnuts fill the air

Apples transform to tasty crisps and pies 

The warm deliciousness can never lie

Raking crunchy leaves into massive piles

Then leaping into them with grinning smiles

Bonfires on the chilly autumn nights

And roasting marshmallows with great delight

The glistening moon shines on all below

The clear and starry sky gives off a glow

Halloween: kids in costumes, trick or treat

Thanksgiving: corn, stuffing, and turkey meat

Fall is the greatest season of them all

Why? Because of its beauty, I recall
