Imagine that you have an enormous task. This enormous task is to write a thank you letter about a leader. A leader that is fearless and friendly. You know that even these words don’t fully encompass the beautiful personality that is Monica Ronayne.
Fearless. This word plays out tremendously in our beloved senior’s life. Monica is fearless because she is not afraid to speak up. She is also not afraid to be a leader. Monica is the club leader of Canon Club, which dives into breaking down poetry and analyzing it. With Monica’s wit and wisdom, she is not afraid to lead and express her opinions. Monica is also fearless on the stage. Singing, dancing, talking, or even ruling a country, Monica’s bright soul lights up the stage. Your eyes are immediately drawn to this enthusiastic girl, even as an ensemble member, who always seems to be immersed in her role right down to her toes. I had the honor and joy to perform with Monica during this year’s all school musical, Anastasia. She played the role of the Tsar, ruler of Russia.
Friendly. Monica can be described as friendly to every soul she meets. Whether it’s at school, the sixth grade Vermont trip, Mattakeesett, or even just a wave in the hall, Monica’s bright spirit shines through and just immediately brightens your day. Monica’s upbeat personality can make you smile even on the rainiest of days. She is an amazing storyteller and will excel in college where she is going to study English Literature and Culture.
As the curtains close on Monica’s final year at Montrose, I hope that she knows that she is sent off with a huge bouquet of flowers. I most especially will miss you heartily, Monica, and I cannot imagine Montrose without you. Thank you for being the big sister that I never had, and I am confident that you will bring your warmth and sense of humor to wherever you go next. So, when the curtains rise again on your new stage and you are singing a different tune and we are not with you physically, please know that we are cheering you on in our hearts and may you be welcomed with tremendous applause. Goodbye Monica, we love you, and God bless. Please let me finish by saying, bravo, bravo!
