Kitchen Fun With My 3 Sons

Try these delicious Oreo cheesecake cookies! They only require six ingredients.

I first saw this recipe while I was scrolling through TikTok during the peak of quarantine. The video immediately captured my attention as I thought: “I love Oreos and I love cheesecake, so I’ll definitely love these.” I’ve interviewed each of my five family members about their favorite cookie recipe, and each of them answered that they were these ones (without my influence, believe it or not). Ask Emma Barry ‘22, she knows how good they are.

I absolutely love baking, but the results of my frequent endeavors are almost always a hit or miss. Unfortunately, I forgot to add flour the last time I made these cookies, so I don’t have an original photo. I promise they’re delicious, just don’t forget to add one of the six ingredients like I did. The only downside to this recipe is that it only makes about 12 cookies, so make sure to double it!

Ingredients:

4 ounces of cream cheese

8 tablespoons of unsalted butter

¾ cups of sugar

1 cup of flour (seriously, don’t forget this)

8-10 Oreo cookies, depending on personal preference

Instructions:

  1. Blend the cream cheese, sugar, and butter with a hand mixer until fully combined
  2. Add the flour and continue to blend
  3. Break (don’t crush, break) the cookies into small pieces and then add to the mixture
  4. Make sure the Oreos are fully distributed and then cover with plastic wrap
  5. Chill the mixture in the fridge for about 30 minutes
  6. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
  7. Use parchment paper to line the baking pan
  8. Roll the dough into small balls, and then press down on them to form a cookie shape
  9. Bake for about 15 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown on the edges
  10.  Let the cookies cool
  11. Enjoy!
