Boxes of delicious Mexican Wedding or Bride’s Kisses Cookies.

Mexican wedding cookies or bride’s kisses are popular cookies in Mexico, especially around the holidays. The name might make you think of a wedding dessert, but I’ve personally never seen them at a wedding. They are more popular as cookies you would give to friends and family around Christmas. Bride’s Kisses are cookies everyone loves! They are made with pecans and powdered sugar, which gives them such a special taste and color. It’s practically impossible to eat one of these cookies without getting powdered sugar on your face or all over your shirt. The most important step to this recipe is step 7 (so pay attention!).

Ingredients:

2 sticks of butter (softened)

2 cups of All-Purpose flour

2 cups of powdered sugar ( 1 cup for baking & 1 cup for rolling the cookie dough in)

1 cup of pecans

1 tsp of vanilla

Instructions :

  1. Preheat the oven to 350º
  2. Mix 1/4 of the powdered sugar with the pecans and chop it (with a food processor or a blender), then add it to a bowl with the flour
  3. In another bowl beat the butter with 3/4 of a cup of powdered sugar and the tsp of vanilla
  4. Mix the wets with the drys and roll into balls
  5. Bake for 20 minutes
  6. Let them cool off and roll them in the extra cup of powdered sugar
  7. Enjoy!
