These Swiss Miss cookies pair perfectly with a hot cup of cocoa

It has been freezing lately, and everyone around the school has been complaining (mostly me). So, I decided: we all need a cookie recipe that will bring warmth to our hearts, souls, and stomachs. Thus, I formulated and tinkered about and created the hot chocolate-chocolate chip cookie recipe made with Swiss Miss cocoa powder. Buy some hot cocoa mix, bake yourself some cookies, make some hot chocolate, and ENJOY!

Ingredients:

¾ cup butter, room temperature

½ cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 eggs, room temperature

4 packets of hot cocoa mix

 2 ¼ cup AP flour

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp baking powder

1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 Fahrenheit
  2. Cream butter, sugars, and vanilla extract together until light and fluffy
  3. Add eggs one at a time
  4. In a separate bowl combine dry ingredients
  5. Add dry ingredients to wet and combine
  6. Add chocolate chips
  7. Form 2 tablespoon balls of dough and lay 2 inches apart on a lined cookie sheet
  8. Bake for 9 to 12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned
  9. Enjoy!
