A Painted Goddess

Spoiler: Marquessa

A blank canvas I see in front of me

I desire to paint my vision of thee

Whilst I dip my brush in the joyful color

And stroke on my creation ever so perfect

I polish thee feeling ever proud

And when I stare into my masterpiece

I dare to express my admiration!

Oh how I boast perfection of my piece!

Taking pictures of my goddess creation!

For as if I love thee!

Yet when I stare into thy eyes

Thy eyes turn away

And so I take my brush and fix thy eyes

Yet thy eyes still look away

For as I kept trying

As I kept painting and painting

I felt as though you were only fading away

Visitors so often see us

Would only give a sneer

As the only thing they’ll ever see

Is a blank canvas

And a lonely creator
