Silence

SILENCE

Silence so big,

its stifling breath

smothers the room.

Silence so small,

weaving through the noise,

it alights in a little nook.

Silence so dangerous,

waiting with bated breath

to hear – life or death.

Silence so peaceful,

born from love,

it rests in family.

Silence so loaded,

the weight of unsaid things,

mind’s quiet tension.

Silence,

beautiful or lethal,

it Sings.
