A buttery treat perfect for the holiday season! Fun and easy to make, snowballs are a great addition to any party, get-together, or even hangout!
INGREDIENTS
1 cup of unsalted butter
1/2 cup of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups of flour
3/4 cup of finely chopped nuts
1/4 teaspoon of salt
Powdered sugar for rolling
RECIPE
- Preheat oven to 400
- In a large bowl blend butter, vanilla extract,
- Add the flour, salt and finely chopped nuts (I used sliced almonds, but any nut will do). Mix together until combined and the dough starts to hold together.
- Shape into 1-inch balls on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
- Place in the freezer for 5 minutes.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until set, but not turning brown. Please watch your oven because all ovens are different.
- Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes. Place powdered sugar in a small bowl and gently roll your snowballs in it. If necessary, allow cookies with powdered sugar to cool for another 3-5 minutes and roll again.
- Enjoy!
