The snow came back
Back it did
We are all practically snowed in
We just had winter break I know,
But wow there’s a lot more snow
The roads are slick, the wind strong
The buses won’t last too long
They’ll slide and slip and drift away
Before we can even start our day
I will beg and plead
Because a snow day is what we really need
Just another day to shovel and rest
Staying home safe is probably best
If we come in we might arrive
As popsicles at 8:05
We promise to read and write!
We’ll practice math (at least… we might)
We’ll drink hot cocoa, warm and sweet,
We will keep all ten fingers and toes on our feet
So call a snow day loud and proud
Be the hero of this frosty crowd
