Montrose Basketball Wraps Up a Fantastic Season
Congratulations to the Montrose varsity basketball team and their phenomenal season! The varsity basketball team just finished up their winter season as an undefeated team within their league! The girls worked extremely hard throughout the season, playing with heart and passion, and constantly encouraging each other to to their fullest potential. The girls recently ended their season on a high note as they participated in the Independent Girls School basketball conference, beating out a tremendous amount of other schools for a highly coveted spot in the championship game. Even though Montrose lost this championship game to Gann, their spirit and drive reflected the effort they put in throughout the season in order to reach this level of competition.
The end of the season is bittersweet as Montrose Varsity Basketball will say goodbye to four amazing seniors: Lauren Francis, Catherine Conroy, Tyra Alexander, and Kate Wahle. The seniors attribute their success to “hard work, sportsmanship, and heart.” Explains senior Kate Wahle, “This group of girls is one to be reckoned with. They are some of the hardest working girls I know, yet they do it with a positive attitude and lots of laughs. I am so fortunate and thankful that I will graduate with nothing but fantastic memories from this basketball season.”
