Montrose XC Run Through Rainstorm & Hingham and Come out on Top
On Wednesday, September 20th, the Montrose Cross Country team travelled to Hingham to race against Notre Dame Academy and Mt. Alvernia. The team drove through the stormy rain as they mentally prepared for the big race. With both captains still injured, many of the girls took on leadership responsibilities during the race, such as motivating the other Mavericks and demonstrating great perseverance and determination. The girls portrayed great attitudes as they ran in the cold, pouring rain. Their attitudes and perseverance paid off, as they earned first place overall. Kasey Corra ‘22 placed first, with Caroline Piorkowski ‘22, Tess Farr ‘22, Emily Bowman ‘19, and Brooke Harrison ‘19 following closely behind her.
