Dr. Kerry Cronin: From Boston College to Montrose!

As part of the LifePortraits speaker series, Boston College Professor Dr. Kerry Cronin will visit Montrose on January 31st.

Dr. Cronin earned her B.A. and M.A. in Philosophy and her PhD in Education from Boston College.  She currently teaches there as a professor of philosophy and theology.

Associate Head of School Mrs. Elrod gave me a glimpse into the life of Dr. Cronin and why she is coming to Montrose.  She said: “We actually met around 25 years ago, when we were both in undergrad at Boston College.  We also both did our graduate in philosophy there.”

Mrs. Elrod added that Dr. Cronin has visited Montrose before; she has been coming since 2004.  She was the commencement speaker in 2015, and she has visited at least three times to talk to the juniors and seniors about dating.

“She is also on the Women’s Advisory Council here at Montrose,” Mrs. Elrod added.  “She comes to Montrose three or four times throughout the year for our meetings.”

The Montrose community will have the privilege of hearing from Dr. Cronin on the 31st during our second LifePortraits speaker event of the year.  The title of her talk is: “What Thinkers Are You Letting Into Your Life?”
