Montrose Secret Santa is one of the most anticipated traditions of the school year. Students, teachers, and even Fr. Dick take part by drawing another participant’s name out of a hat and exchanging presents the following week.

This years dates and price ranges have been released! The first day ($1-2) is Wednesday, December 14. Day 2, December 15th, is a donation to the Medfield Youth Outreach Program. Friday, December 16th is Day 3, with gift prices ranging between $3-5. Remember to bring both Day 4 and Day 5 presents ($5-7 and $7-12) on Monday, December 19th.

While Secret Santa is a beloved tradition, Montrose students tend to have difficulty choosing gifts for their recipient every year. Many girls attribute this to the fact that they usually need to buy a present for an unfamiliar student or teacher. After three years of Secret Santa experience, I have put together a gift guide with gift suggestions for students of all ages, as well as teachers. Enjoy!

Student Gift Ideas:

• Fuzzy socks
• Candy or chocolate, especially peppermint bark
• Travel size lotions – many students love the 3 for $12 Bath and Body Works deal
• Silly holiday “ears” or headbands
• Nail polish
• Earbuds – you can never have too many pairs

• Gift cards – if you can’t think of anything else, I guarantee a Starbucks or iTunes gift card will be appreciated
• A new movie – there are usually great deals around the holidays, so you should be able to grab a DVD for under $10

• Mini perfume set – Target has the best sales in December on these!
• Anything in festive, Christmas colors
