An incredible double over-time loss ended the Maverick’s Varsity Soccer season with some sadness but plenty of Montrose pride. Coach Aha recounted, ” It was a fantastic game! I loved every minute of it. My team played with so much heart, talent and skill. I’m bursting with pride. Our team rocked it!”
Mrs. Irwin brought roses for the four seniors, and the seniors and their parents took photos.
Coach Blackburn was sad to miss the game due to her son’s broken foot, but she stayed in constant text message updates with the bus driver. Coach Blackburn said, “Montrosians can hold their heads high for a strong finish to the season. Thanks for giving us such riveting excitement and for showing us your best! Montrose remains a team the league continues to watch closely.”
