Montrose Beats Brimmer and May
On Wednesday, September 14, the Montrose Varsity Soccer team traveled to Brimmer and May Academy for their game, and impressively won with a final score of 4-2. Due to lightning, the game was delayed 30 minutes, and the Montrose girls seized the opportunity to work on some of their homework.
The game proceeded with Valerie Valdivia ‘17, Majo Azcarraga ‘20, Annie Irwin ‘19 and Kelsey Lopez ‘18 each scoring a goal. Annie Irwin ‘19 received a yellow card due to tripping another player.
After the game, one of the soccer players from Brimmer and May approached the Montrose coaches and complimented the Mavericks’ superb sportsmanship. The Montrose team will be playing next on Monday, September 19th on Miracle Field. This will be their first home game of the season, so be sure to come cheer them on!
