Throughout the years the Montrose Field Hockey program has grown tremendously. Much of this success and growth can be attributed to the Class of 2024. Teammates Maddy Grigg, Kenzie Cassler, Kristina Klauzinski, and Eliza Glaeser have been a vital part of the team and will be missed greatly. They are leaving on an impressive mark with the team having completed a record breaking season.
Joining the Varsity Field Hockey team in 7th grade as a swing player, captain Maddy Grigg was a powerhouse in the defense. Affectionately called “Griggles” by her teammates, she kept us motivated and was a huge asset to the team.
Our other captain, Kenzie Cassler, was always there to lend a helping hand. Leading by example, she encouraged us while also pushing us to be the best we could be. We will miss her cheerful attitude and her hospitality.
Goalkeeper Kristina Klauzinski was always committed to the game. She put her all into every play, even if that included doing the famous splits to stop the ball. We wish her the best of luck in the fall when she attends Stonehill College.
Always there when you need someone to talk to, Eliza Glaeser ran the offense. Her positivity was contagious and we couldn’t help but laugh at all of her jokes. We will miss our “smarty-pants” and hope she has a blast at Harvard University.
Thank you so much to all of our seniors! We truly couldn’t have done it without you and love you all so much!
