On November 20-21, fifteen middle schoolers performed in Dear Edwina Jr. This hilarious comedy features Edwina Spoonapple, a girl who excels at giving advice. She acts out the advice in her garage with her friends in answer to the letters she receives asking for help. Isabella Russo ‘21, who just started at Montrose this September, did a great job as Edwina.

One of the actors, Courtney Aicardi ‘20, who acted out three roles, commented, “I had a lot of fun. It was a great last experience for a [middle school] musical.” Anna Bachiochi ‘20, Katy Hogan ‘20, and Sarah Ling ‘20 also just performed in their last middle school musical as eighth graders.

An audience member said, “It was a great play, and the singing was awesome. Everyone did a great job.” A Montrose alumna and current parent who saw the play also remarked, “I thought that it was creative to have the girl singing the song about how to set a table up on a ladder. I liked the humor throughout the musical.” Isabella Flores ‘22 was on the ladder as Fairy Forkmother.

The players all kept good time in the songs they sang and managed beautifully to keep a straight face even in the funniest scenes. Thank you to all Middle School Musical actresses for an amazing show of Dear Edwina Junior!
