In light of the new Covid-19 rules, it can be hard to meet new people. Here’s a list of new middle schoolers and the things they want you to know. Some did not respond, but many did. Meet the new Montrose middle schoolers!

New 8th Graders: 

Kathryn Greene 

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “I really like how welcoming and friendly everyone has been to me. Everybody here is really nice.”

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I really like swimming and I am hoping to start a swim club at Montrose.”

Erin Kampersal 

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “I like how everyone is so nice.”

What is something you want everyone to know about you? ¨I like to play basketball, softball, and volleyball, and I love sports!”

Katie Ryan 

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “Everyone is really nice.”

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I am super outgoing.”

Abby Scollins

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “The people and classes.” 

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “One thing you should know about me is I love dancing and have been doing it competitively for almost 10 years. I love spending time with family and friends on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, and I am really excited to be a part of the Montrose community!”

New 7th Graders:

Adelina Corra

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “It has much better teachers than my old school.”

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I do gymnastics, soccer, and basketball. I can’t do these sports at Montrose because gymnastics takes up so much time, but I still love sports!”

Gabbie Fetter

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “The people.” 

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I play lacrosse.”

Georgia Flynn

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “The people.” 

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “One thing that I would like everyone to know about me is that I like to read.” 

Katherine Goggin 

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “I like that we have Mass everyday and that it is a break from school work.” 

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I love horse riding and I lease a horse. I love dogs, ferrets, hamsters, chickens, and basically every animal but spiders.” 

Bella Gonet

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far?  “I like that making friends is pretty easy, and I also like the teachers.” 

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I have two brothers: one is 11 and one is 15. I am in the middle and I am turning 13 on Nov 2. I like writing.” 

Tess Kurina 

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? ” I love that everyone is encouraging of one another.” 

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I have 5 siblings, and I’m from Northborough MA.” 

Annie Maalouf 

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “Friends.”

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I like the band One Direction.” 

Maria Silveyra Dodds 

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “I like that we like to go to Mass.” 

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I am so excited to get to know everyone! All of my family lives in Argentina except for us of course.  I am the oldest and I was born in Argentina. My brothers were born in America and my sister in Brazil. We’ve lived here for six years! I am a new student at Montrose this year, and I am in 7th grade. I have five siblings, and we’re all fluent in Spanish. Also, I love soccer and reading a good book. Fun Fact: In all my life, I’ve been to eight schools (including daycare)! I think Montrose is the best so far. I’ve made so many friends!”

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “Everyone is so nice!” 

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I’m shy.” 

6th Graders:

Mia Cahill Farella

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “The freedom to walk in the halls not in a line, and all the school clubs and events.”

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I love school and I am super excited to write for the newspaper! I also play soccer and I love to make jewelry. I have 6 siblings and 24 pets.”

Avery Condon

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “I love that everyone is a family, and we get to have the sisters and support that we may not have anywhere else.”

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I love to Irish dance! My birthday is October 8. I have two sisters –one older and one younger — at home, but none of them go to Montrose.” 

Bridget Devaney 

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “The people. Everyone was so welcoming.” 

What is something you want everyone to know about you? ”  love the color pink! I am 1 of  7 children. My family and I have a lot of fun together! We play the game scattergories alot! My family and I are super close! I love doing crafts. Whether it’s, knitting, crocheting, sewing, arts and crafts, I love them all.” 

Chloe Dias 

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “Enrichment and Mass.” 

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I am an only child.” 

Siena Elliffe

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “I like the Big and Little Sister program.” 

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I was born in Ireland and I lived there till I was 2. I lived at my grandma’s for a year, and now we live at our house. I also do Irish dance and I am hoping to go to worlds in Dublin in April. I live with my little brother, little sister, older sister, and 2 parents.”

Clare Higgins

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “Friends.”

 What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I love basketball, Netflix, and Starbucks.” 

Annabella Kelly

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “Meeting new friends!” 

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I love watching football and playing soccer! I also love elephants! This is the best school ever!” 

Isabella Niebuhr 

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “All the nice people.” 

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “1) I have asthma. 2) My parents are divorced but please don’t treat me differently.” 

Tevesha Patel

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “Everyone is so nice to me.”

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I was born in India. I can speak Hindi and English and also understand Gugarati.” 

Brooke Surdel

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “All of the people.”

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “I love to ski, dance, and I love animals. I have a fish, hedgehog, and dogs.” 

Leah Vaz

What is one thing you like about Montrose so far? “The different clubs and activities that are offered.” 

What is something you want everyone to know about you? “Before I came to Montrose, I went to a Montessori school that I had been at since I was 3. I have been playing the piano since I was 4. I like baking during the holidays and traveling– I have visited 4 countries so far. My favorite thing to do in my free time is playing classical piano pieces like the Turkish March.”
