As the days get shorter and the sun sets earlier, choosing to wear a cute outfit becomes less and less motivating. I can relate to this; oftentimes, I struggle to find a cute but cozy outfit–but you’re in luck because I did all the searching for you! Here are the cute and cozy winter outfit trends of 2025.
Let’s start from the bottom up:
A high or mid-size boot is a staple for winter fashion. Especially in the snowy months, a boot will keep your feet warm and protect you from the snow. You can style boots in so many different ways: Pair them with jeans, skirts and dresses; the options are endless. I would recommend a brown or black boot that can be easily paired with a variety of outfits.
Satin skirts are all the rage right now. They look classy and give the outfit an elegant statement, all while being super comfy. The perk of wearing a long skirt like this in the winter is that you can wear leggings or tights underneath – and no one will know! This hack keeps you stylish and comfortable. You can pair satin skirts with a tight fitted long sleeve shirt or a sweater. These skirts keep you fashionable, warm, and change up your usual style!
Jeans are obviously a go-to in the winter months, as they are comfy and cute! But how do you style them? Start with a belt that matches the color of your shoes and if you want to go the extra mile, also matches your handbag. Having cohesive accents on your outfit pulls all the pieces together. Now, that leaves the top. Layering is everything. Start with a sweater that doesn’t match your accessories colors but still complements them. For example, if all my accents were a burgundy red, I would pair it with an off white or black sweater. Add a vest or jacket, and, if it’s extra cold, a scarf! Having cohesive accents while also giving your outfit a statement piece really ties your look together.
Usually in the fashion world, wearing white more specifically a white dress or pants in the winter is a “fashion crime.” Instead, here are some of the trendy winter colors of 2025: burgundy, olive and dark green, navy blue, off white, camel, greys and black. Obviously these are just a taste of the endless winter colors you can incorporate into your winter wardrobe.
To finish the outfit off, you must accessorize! Adding a silk scarf to your handbag elevates your outfit, and including a hair bow or scrunchie can really make the outfit look complete. Add your own touch of personal pins or jewels to express your personality!
These winter fashion trends are merely a taste of cold weather outfits. At the end of the day, experimenting with your own style and what you like best on yourself is really what matters, but I hope these tips can keep you staying warm and fashionable!
