20 Questions with Stud Gov Executive Secretary Nora Clancy
Montrose Student Government does so much for our school. From organizing big-little sister events, to Christmas at Montrose, to quirky music videos, they do it all! The Student Government Executive Team this year has people talking–in the best way possible! Some are even crediting this year’s team for “reviving” StudGov. Each month, we’ll take a look at one of the members of our Exec Team and discover their unique personalities and love for Student Government!
LG: “What is your position in Student Government and what made you want that position?”
NC: “Executive Secretary”
LG: “How long have you been at Montrose?”
NC: “Since 6th grade.”
LG: “Describe your involvement with Student Government during your time at Montrose?”
NC: “ [I] was elected as class secretary in 6th grade, and then again in 11th”
LG: “Are there any past Student Government execs who you look up to and follow in their footsteps?”
NC: “Maria Buckley, Nathalie Falcao, Elle Schirripa”
LG: “Enthusiasm is such a great idea for the theme this year. How did you come up with that idea?”
NC: “Jocelyn, Missalle and I went out to dinner with our friends right after the elections and the idea just sort of came to us as we talked about how we wanted to improve school pride.”
LG: “Favorite part of being apart of Student Government?”
NC: “Being able to help run the traditions that I love to take part in.”
LG: “Favorite Montrose Tradition?”
NC: “Christmas in general.”
LG: “Favorite food?”
NC: “Pasta, specifically spaghetti and meatballs.”
LG: “Favorite subject?”
NC: “Science and Math – I can’t choose just one!”

NC: “TV Show: Supernatural, Doctor Who, Sherlock

NC: “Treblemakers, participating in the Upper School Play and All School Musical, Volleyball”

NC: “Determined, passionate, enthusiastic.”

NC: “Honestly, I’m not really sure yet.”

NC: “Stay positive, even when things seem difficult.”
