This year, the Student Government Executive Board consisted of three seniors: Eva Derendorf (president), Rosie Beard (vice president) and Monica Ronayne (secretary). These three seniors have worked so hard this year to plan every CHR, M-Block, meeting and, soon, Field Day!
Eva has been at Montrose since 6th grade and on the executive board for two years now. She is a natural leader who finds compromises and brings new ideas to the table when we discuss issues at the student government meetings. Her presence will be missed all over Montrose next year: on the track and cross country teams, the Executive Board and Faith Peer Leaders Club. Eva will be attending The Catholic University of America next year and will be a part of Army ROTC! Good luck, Eva – we will miss you!
Rosie is the kind of person that everyone calls their friend. She always makes an effort to make you feel included and informed. These traits have been clearly shown this year as vice president. Her ability to rally large crowds and suggest new Montrose games and traditions will be missed. The track team won’t be the same, and the energy she brings to the Executive Board and Montrose has been such a blessing these past few years. Rosie will be attending the University of Dallas next year! Good luck, Rosie; we will miss you!
Monica’s sense of humor always lightens the mood and brightens the conversation in and outside of student government meetings. Her enthusiasm and energy on the stage is unparalleled, helping all of the Montrose theatre community feel valued. She inspires people by living her faith every day and is always a friendly face in the hallways. Whether she is leading Bible study, acting in a theatre production or assisting student government, Monica gives it her all and makes a difference. Monica will be attending Carnegie Mellon University next year! Good luck, Monica; we will miss you!
Congratulations to these three seniors who have done so much for Montrose these past few years. We can’t wait for their visits and updates from college. We are so proud of them and excited to see them graduate from Montrose to start a new chapter of their life.
